CEO, Allianz Holdings

Colm joined Allianz in December 2021, with 20 years’ of experience across the insurance sector. With his deep understanding of the UK Property and Casualty market.  He previously held senior leadership at JP Morgan Chase, Zurich and Aviva, where he served as CFO and CEO.

Chief Financial Officer

Ulf Lange was appointed CFO and a member of the Board in September 2016. This position continues his longstanding career with the Allianz Group, with roles including head of legal, compliance and HR for the Allianz operations in CEEMA and CFO of Allianz Ayudhya, Allianz's life insurance entity in Thailand. In 2014 he was appointed head of the CEO office under Michael Diekmann and then Oliver Bäte.

Commercial Managing Director (interim)

Nick was appointed to the role of MD, Allianz Commercial on an interim basis. He first came to Allianz in 2001, joining a part of the company that became AGCS. He worked in the UK, US, Canada and Munich in senior client, distribution and operations roles before joining Allianz UK in 2011. Nick was chief distribution & regions officer for Allianz Holdings Commercial and most recently was chief distribution officer for all of Allianz Commercial.    

Managing Director, Specialty

Isabella was appointed in December 2024. She leads the specialty business, which comprises of Petplan, Petplan Equine and LV= Pet. Prior to this, Isabella was director of trading for Allianz Specialty where she was instrumental in brand development and change. She joined Allianz in 2011 as head of marketing and sales for PetPlan and Allianz Pet. 

Chief Audit Officer

Matt is responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the controls and governance we have in place to keep us safely delivering on our purpose. He joined Allianz from Deloitte, where he was a partner leading risk, control and governance services.

Chief People and Culture Officer

Julie joined Allianz Group in 2004 and has worked for Allianz SE, AGCS, Allianz Reinsurance and Allianz Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Allianz she worked for Cathay Pacific and Lufthansa. She was appointed chief people and culture officer in July 2020.

Chief Transformation Officer

Jason oversees all large-scale change projects and initiatives in the Allianz UK business. He's spent the majority of his career in the insurance industry, including more than two decades with Allianz. His previous role was director of business transformation.

Chief Risk Officer 

Hanna has more than 25 years’ global experience in the insurance industry and is a recognised senior leader in risk management. Most recently she was group chief risk officer at Hiscox for almost ten years and was responsible globally for enterprise risk management and compliance. A qualified actuary, she has also held senior roles with EY and Zurich Australia.

Head of Communications

James is responsible for the external and internal communications teams. James has over 20 years’ experience in insurance and financial services having led external communication, internal communication, and public policy teams. Before joining Allianz in June 2024 James worked at Aviva plc as group digital communications lead. 

Chief Compliance & Corporate Affairs Officer

Alison is responsible for setting a clear strategy for our business in terms of compliance and conduct relating to customer, clients, reputation, assets and the interests of our stakeholders, as well as corporate and regulatory affairs. Alison was previously group compliance and financial crime risk director at Aviva and has also worked at RSA, BGL and Direct Line Group.

Chief Actuary

Laurence ensures we have adequate financial reserves and appropriate premium rates are being charged. He previously spent 10 years at Direct Line as director of financial risk. Prior to that, he held various roles at Zurich Insurance UK including chief actuary.

Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary

Christopher is responsible for advising on legal, regulatory and governance issues, overseeing the legal and company secretariat functions across the Allianz Holdings group. Christopher previously worked with the international financial services group Euroclear since 2007 and has headed their UK legal team since 2013. Prior to this he worked with Lloyd’s of London.
