Our policy
Unattended Vehicle Cover insures your musical equipment against theft or accidental damage while it’s locked in the boot of a vehicle, whether that’s for a quick stop at a petrol station, or an entire night. This is incredibly useful if you transport your instrument for lessons, touring or playing live.
Please call us if you have a particularly large instrument and are unsure how to store it while travelling.
Yes. We’ll cover you whether you teach in your own home, visit students, or teach at a school or university. We also offer Public Liability Insurance as an optional add-on.
Call us on 0330 100 9903 to get set up and learn more.
This means that the downstairs windows or outside-accessible upstairs windows (such as windows that are reachable over a garage) of the premises where your instrument is kept must be lockable from the inside – a standard feature in most homes. While you do not need to have lockable windows as a standard requirement of your policy*, we do ask that you keep your windows latched and closed overnight or when the property is unattended.
*Please note that if your sums insured exceed £100,000, we do require you to have lockable windows.
Renewing your policy
Absolutely. You can make changes at any time, free of charge. If you need to add more instruments to your policy or decrease your level of cover as a result of selling, just let us know.*
*Please note that only the policyholder can make changes to the policy unless you contact us to authorise someone else to do this on your behalf. Adding instruments onto your policy may incur an increase in the pro rata-premium charged.
Simply contact us using this contact form and we’ll turn off automatic renewals for your policy.
You can also let us know by calling us on 0330 100 9903 or write to us at Allianz Musical Insurance, PO Box 224, Huddersfield, HD8 1FS.
If you decide to stop your policy automatically renewing: You will receive a renewal pack ahead of your renewal date but you’ll have to contact us to let us know if you’d like to renew your policy as your automatic Direct Debits will have stopped. If you don’t contact us, you’ll be sent a reminder and if we don’t hear from you, your policy will not renew and your instruments/equipment will no longer be covered.
