The Allianz Future Fund

Having supported both the men’s and women’s national rugby teams for the past four years, we understand the power of sport, on and off the pitch.

Whether you’re a player, coach, touch judge or club secretary, the Allianz Future Fund is part of our commitment to support rugby at all levels across the UK.

Allianz wants to help make rugby accessible to as many people as possible and help today’s young players become the stars of tomorrow.

The Allianz Future Fund gives grants of between £500 to £3,000 to help local, grassroots rugby clubs. If your club is interested in applying for funding, please find more information below.

The closing date for round two of the Allianz Future Fund was 31 December 2024.

Thank you to all the clubs that applied. If you weren't successful this time, there will be opportunities to apply in the future.

What type of funding can clubs apply for?

Grants ranging between £500 and £3000 are available. Grants are paid directly into the club’s bank account.

Who can apply?

Any rugby club that is a registered member of the Rugby Football Union (RFU), the Welsh Rugby Union (WFU), Scottish Rugby (SFU) or Irish Rugby (IRFU) in Northern Ireland and has an official bank account registered in the club's name.

Who isn’t eligible for funding?

This fund is designed to help grassroots sports clubs. This means we're not able to help the following organisations:

  • local authorities, including town and parish councils
  • schools, colleges and universities
  • commercial sport and physical activity providers, e.g. private gyms
  • leisure operators
  • individuals who are either employed or self-employed within the sport and physical activity sector.

Here at Allianz, we are proud of our involvement with the rugby community. Which is why we are so excited that we're extending our partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) even further. From September, the home of England Rugby, Twickenham became ‘Allianz Stadium’.

This partnership will be transformative, not only to the elite men’s and women’s teams but also to community clubs across the country through investment into the grassroots game. It will also support the RFU's plans to redevelop the stadium over the next decade.

England Rugby

Allianz is the Official Insurance Partner of Rugby Football Union (RFU) including England Men's and the back-to-back grand slam champions Red Roses team.

We have a longstanding history with rugby, supporting both the men and women's rugby teams. Our partnership is an excellent opportunity to develop women's sport, from the community game to the England teams.
